Automated Job Filler
Extension

I wanted a Chrome extension that would fill in a job application the second I opened one. What is in the repository is not that, it is an existing Chrome Web Store extension called Kumquat, unpacked and committed the way it came.

Sheet 02 of 08/The idea

What I said I was making

The description I put on the repository says I was building a Google extension that would apply to jobs for me when I opened an application from LinkedIn, Glassdoor or Indeed.

Sheet 03 of 08/The repo

What is actually in the repository

What got committed is an existing Chrome Web Store extension called Kumquat, version 0.4, unpacked with the store's own signing metadata still sitting in the folder.

Sheet 04 of 08/What it does

What that extension does

It only runs on Workday, Greenhouse, Lever and Taleo pages, and it fills them from an options form that wants name, address, university, GPA, three past jobs, and a Taleo username, password and security question answer.

Sheet 05 of 08/My part

How much of it is mine

Every file matches the store package apart from line endings and the manifest rewrite Chrome does when it unpacks an extension, so what is mine comes to a README saying "currently WIP" and four icon files renamed to IEB, one of which is byte identical to the original.

Three commits in six minutes

All three commits landed inside six minutes on 14 April 2023 and I have not touched it since.
