Forged-carbon F1
rig
A sim racing rig built around a forged carbon seat I shaped myself, starting from a plywood box and a lump of clay, not a CAD file. There's a second rig too, the one I actually use, and it skips the carbon seat completely.

No CAD, just a pencil line
There's no CAD anywhere in this project, the whole seat shape started as a line drawn full size, in pencil, on the inside of a plywood box.

What I would do differently
Two things: the clay should have been oil based since a thick layer of water based clay was always going to crack, and the frame should have been designed alongside the seat instead of built around a finished part.
